This article says it all — I have nothing to add other than while I’m not a Catholic, I agree entirely with this post. The comic is wildly out of line and not being funny. Basically, it’s telling religious people of all stripes to shut up. Even when the comic “approves” religion, he wants us to keep it to ourselves. The sad thing is, this type of “humour” is entirely accepted on the somewhat dubious grounds that since religion and religious people have hurt others in the past, they have no credibility left. We are apparently to be saved with insults.
