Written in the third person, this book is about three sixteen-year-old girls who discover that they have a surprising connection to each other when one of them decides to create a video-hoax for a school project.  Cooney uses modern technology, such as Facebook, YouTube, and text messaging, as an integral part of her story.

Intended audience: best suited for ages 14 and older, for mature themes discussed, but also suited for readers aged 11 and older.

Intended audience for booktalk: ages 12 and older.
